    At Marmomac 2025, innovation will be the key point of discussion: robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation will be the primary topics of meetings, seminars, and events dedicated to the future of natural stone.

    From September 23 to 26, Verona Fiere will host the 59th edition of Marmomac, the international event that brings together the entire stone industry supply chain. Promising to be one of the most eagerly awaited and extensive events ever, this edition builds upon the success of both the trade fair and the industry as a whole in 2024:

    • Industry exports reached a total of €2.17 billion, showing an increase of 5.8%.
    • The fair saw over 1,485 companies from 140 countries participating as exhibitors.
    • The event welcomed more than 50,000 visitors, 43% of whom were decision-makers and 34.5% were part of decision-making teams.

    These days will be dedicated to marble and natural stone, with a focus on new quarrying technologies, product processing, machinery, and tools.

    The layout of the Marmomac 2025 trade fair will be inspired by Le Corbusier's Plan Voisin in Paris, coinciding with the centennial anniversary of the Master's work. Divided into 12 covered pavilions and 8 outdoor areas, it will form a veritable contemporary "city of stone" that's been designed to enhance the dialogue between industry, design, and innovation.

    Marmomac Academy 2025

    Since 1998, the Marmomac Academy has been promoting training and international dialogue through workshops, seminars, and exhibitions dedicated to the environmentally conscious and creative use of natural stone.

    Continuing on from 2024, Carlo Trevisani and Silvia Dandini (ADI) will develop the Verticalità Modulari (Modular Verticality) project, exploring the compositional languages of stone. Also featured will be Stone Next, an exhibition curated by Giorgio Canale, dedicated to the most cutting-edge technologies, and the Epiphanies exhibition by Raffaello Galiotto.

    For 2025, the program will conclude with Fabula Litica – La Foresta Incantata (Stone Fairy Tale – The Enchanted Forest), an exhibition conceived by Giuseppe Fallacara that involves more than 15 Italian and international universities. The program also includes panels and talks with key industry figures such as:

    • Davide Fabio Colaci, with a speech inspired by the theories of Adolf Loos;
    • Yuri Ancarani, who explores the expressive potential of stone in the short film Il Capo, filmed in Carrara.
    • Joseph Grima, who will focus on the role of the "techno-artisan" in combining manual skills with digital tools;
    • Grazia Signori and Tommaso Simonetta, who propose a multisensory journey through stone, perception, and sound design.

    Conclusions

    Marmomac 2025 is a singular opportunity to discover trends, meet professionals, and build new connections.
